My Story

FSM Tough Mudder Challenge, 4th July | Belvoir Castle

It started with a slightly questionable decision, and now there’s no backing out.

This July, a team from FareShare Midlands is taking on Tough Mudder at Belvoir Castle, mud, ice, walls, wires, and everything in between. It’s not just a challenge, it’s full-on chaos in the best possible way.

Here’s the thing though, it’s not about being the fittest or fastest.

It’s about turning up for each other.

Within minutes everyone’s covered in mud, no one cares what they look like, and it becomes the ultimate leveller. You climb, crawl, lift and laugh your way through it, getting each other over obstacles with a mix of teamwork, encouragement, and the occasional “you’ll be fine” (questionable, but effective).

You start as a team, you finish as a team, and somewhere in between you create the kind of stories that stick forever, some of which definitely can’t be repeated in the office.

We’ll be pushing ourselves, supporting each other, and probably finding mud in places we didn’t know existed for days afterwards, but it’s all for a bigger reason.

We’re doing it to raise vital funds for FareShare Midlands, getting good food to people who need it most across our region.

So here’s where you come in!
> sponsor the team and help us turn mud into meals
> every pound you give helps redistribute surplus food to communities facing food insecurity

And if you’re reading this thinking… could I do that?

You absolutely can, whether it’s Tough Mudder or your own challenge event, you can take it on and raise funds for FareShare Midlands.
